Cass's Story...
Cass (male) (Rescuer financially covering all vetting!)

Hi! My name is Cass and I am a male, 1 to 2 year old Red Merle American Pit Bull Terrier dog. I am submissive, sweet, love to sit on humans laps, and love to roll on my back for belly rubs. I weigh about 46 pounds and I am not sure if I am housetrained, I’m not fixed, but I am up-to-date on my shots. If you're looking for a great dog, look no further because I know you'll be pleased with me! Unfortunately, I have to find a new home because I am a stray. There is a screening process to adopt me and my adoption fee is a suggested donation to Pet Savers of $30 for their help in rehoming me and to help assure I go to a good home. Once you adopt me, PLEASE get me spayed/neutered to help control the HUGE overpopulation and euthanasia rate in this area. My rescuer, Mark, will pay for this. Robinson's Rescue low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic (Shreveport) offers special low-cost pricing for spaying and neutering. Call 318-861-0101 for your spay/neuter appointment ONLY, not about me! Also, I have heartworms and have started a 6 month treatment to cure me. Mark has also paid for this, but I have to see a vet every month while I am in treatment. If you would like to meet me, please call Mark at 318/464-5908 or email me at mfarg@caddoda.com .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cass, a Haughton Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Haughton, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Haughton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haughton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haughton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haughton paves the way for another one to be saved.
