Callie's Story...
Left to Die…Ready to Live!

Meet Callie, a just-rescued sweet and loving pooch. Only a week prior, Callie was found in a front yard tied to a tree with her brother. She had wound herself so tightly around the tree that she was gasping for air and whimpering. “She was nervous at first and had open wounds on her head, I am sure somebody beat her. As soon as she realized I wasn’t going to hurt her she climbed into my lap and went right to sleep,” says her rescuer.

Callie is one of the many pit bulls who has been abused, but has somehow emerged from her nightmare unscathed. Her foster mom calls her “phenomenal—the best foster dog I have ever had. I’ve never meet a more affectionate and caring dog, it breaks my heart that somebody would lay a hand on this puppy. Callie has a special place in my heart.”

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a South Euclid American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in South Euclid, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in South Euclid.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Euclid already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Euclid breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Euclid paves the way for another one to be saved.
