My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meadow was found at someone's workplace with her kittens. This friendly, pretty cat found a home where she was a pleasure to have around. She only came to us because she was hard on their Chihuahua, and they couldn't really afford another pet anyway. They had her for eight months and reported that she was a clean, well-behaved house pet who is "excellent, sweet with people" (including kids), and had a "sweet, good-natured" personality. Settled into a new-cat cage at the shelter, she proved to be a lively, cheerful, trusting little cat who was eager to get out of her new-cat cage and look around. She was so enthusiastic, it was hard to get photos. She kept pressing against her new-cat cage door and nuzzling the door in hearty greeting. We had her spayed -- which might make her mellow enough to even get along with Chihuahuas! Also, she will settle more with maturity. Right now, she's just a lively, enthusiastic young cat. We put a cone on her head after she was spayed so she wouldn't pick at her stitches. She wasn't thrilled about the cone, but when a volunteer came to visit her she was so pleased she forgot about the cone and reached into pets, purring happily. She also enjoyed the chance to get a better peek at the world beyond her new-cat cage while the door was open. When she was released into a communal room, she was wary among all the other cats. But even that anxiety didn't stop her from enjoying a visit with a volunteer (as you'll see on her last video below where she's relaxed and purring while being cuddled). This is a perky, chipper little cat who will bring sunshine into a new home!

Meadow was born around the beginning of 2010.
