Little Simba's Story...
Little Simba was supposed to be spayed and then put back out side to live. Instead her rescurer saw the potential in this little girl and asked the family who was feeding her if they would take her in. They loved her already and said that they would.

However a snap test revealed the sad news, little Simba is felv+. Felv+ cats should be in a home with other cats who test postive for the disease. There are tremendous studies being done, but the bottom line is no one knows for sure how this affects cats. SImba is a healthy, wonderful girl who would love to live her life outside of a cage, which is where she is now.

If you have it in your heart to adopt this girl or know someone who has an felv+ cat, pls contact Maria 732.261.8944 or email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Little Simba, a Barnegat Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Barnegat, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Barnegat.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Barnegat already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Barnegat breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Barnegat paves the way for another one to be saved.
