Sammy's Story...
My name is Sammy and I am in search of something- maybe you could help me? You see I just had it, but I just lost it and I really don't wanna go long without one. It was so great, and I loved it soooo much - It was a home, and a family and I really want to find a new one. My last person released me to a rescue because they just didn't have enough time to give me all the love I needed- they loved me as much as I loved them, but I guess that sometimes things change and there is no way to control it. I am a great boy so it shouldn't be hard to find what I'm looking for. I love children of all ages, I do great with other dogs, I am crate trained and housebroken. I am very smart and working hard on improving my manners, there are a few areas that I could use a bit more training but really I am a very good boy-not to mention quite handsome, and everything you are looking for! 4 ½ years old-48lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; microchip, neuter, reduced cost training Class, free veterinary exam ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Portland Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
