Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rusty is approximately nine months old (still in the puppy stage of life) and was rescued when he was about 3 months old wandering the street with a rope around his small neck. We welcomed this little bundle in our home until we could make sure he was healthy and socially adjusted for adoption.
When we first found Rusty, he was a beautiful red/chestnut color with a gold curly tuff of fur on the top of his head, and therefore we thought he may have Chesapeake Retriever in his bloodline. Since then the tuff is gone and he is all chestnut in color.
Rusty is very social, and gets along well with other dogs, both female and male. Many times, after playing hard, you can find him by himself in the yard, just enjoying life. He has the capability to be a great bird hunting dog ( he is not afraid of any sounds and has a tracking nose when we go for long walks). The best home would be a combination of active outdoors play and an awesome family pet. His nose is the best, running in from the back yard to see what is cooking, and waiting patiently for that bowl of pasta (his favorite) or chicken and rice hotdish.
He is growing into his head, weighing about 60 pounds and those sad eyes can tug at your heart every time! If you are interested in Rusty, please email milne7896@comcast.net
We will send you an application!
