Paulie's Story...
They call me a jester because I make everyone laugh, but I am really a playful prince. I was abandoned here at the side of the road, and I yelled for help until someone noticed me. I'm safe now. I spend the day regally and quietly lounging in my cage with my paws crossed, but oh, when they let me out, off I go into enthusiastic play!

There is only one thing I love more than a good game, and that is to sit on someone's lap and stare soulfully into their eyes. My life has been so confusing. I had a home, but suddenly I was thrown out into strangeness. I know I was lucky. Many other cats aren't. I'm hoping someone will complete my story and give me true love and true safety.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paulie, a Spencer Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Spencer, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Spencer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spencer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spencer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spencer paves the way for another one to be saved.
