Gobbler's Story...
Gobbler, better known as Turkey arrived on Thanks giving weekend with a chain dragging behind him. No one has come to look for him and he is now looking for his forever home.
He weighs approx. 35 lbs, is neutered and fully vaccinated. Turkey is smart, curious and eager to please. He has participated in a service project at a local school and does fine with children. He can be a bit exuberant, so elementary age or older would be a good match. He chases a ball, if he is in the mood. Turkey is comfortable in a crate walks on leash and quickly picks up on what is expected. He has met the resident tom cat and after some discussion understands who is the boss. Turkey is without a doubt a terrier mix - funny and intelligent.
If you want to be his forever family call his foster mom, Stefi, and leave a message for Gobbler aka Turkey at 540-745-2667 or by e-mailing floydhumane@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gobbler, a Floyd Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Floyd, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Floyd.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Floyd already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Floyd breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Floyd paves the way for another one to be saved.
