Facts about Murphy
Breed: Pony - of America Mix
in need of an experienced adopter and up to date with shots.
I am in need of an experienced adopter and up to date with shots.
Murphy is a 2006 Pony of the Americas/cross mare, and she is about 13H tall. She was acquired with 64 ponies from a neglect situation in Lewisville, Texas. Murphy is smart and enjoys attention, but she is very unsure of people and will need an experienced adopter or trainer to work with her. She has worn a halter and been led, but she is not halter trained. Murphy needs a patient adopter who will give Murphy the time she needs to learn to trust people. Once Murphy learns to trust, she should progress well in her training. The ponies from this group were all afraid of people when we acquired them. The ones who have been adopted and trained are kids and/or family ponies. Murphy is located in Pilot Point, TX, and her adoption fee is $300. Murphy is just one of the ponies that are available for adoption. These ponies have great dispositions and will make good children's ponies once trained under saddle. For more information on these ponies or any other horses we have for adoption, please visit our website www.hopeforhorses.com or send an email to email@example.com.
Hope for Horses Equine Rescue was incorporated in 2002 as a horse rescue. In fall of 2006, we began rescuing dogs, also. Since inception, we have successfully placed over 500 horses and 30 dogs. We have also placed several cats. We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit rescue. We are an all volunteer organization, and our funding is primarily from donations and adoption fees. If you have time or talent or simply wish to help support horses - our organization needs you!! Donations, volunteers, and foster homes are always needed and appreciated.
Come Meet Our Pets...
The rescue's main office is located in Bryan, Texas. Most of our animals are located at foster homes. If you would like to meet any of our animals, please email us to set up an appointment.
Our Adoption Process...
Dogs are adopted by completing an adoption application that will be reviewed by our volunteer staff. If potential adopters have a pet, we will check their veterinarian reference. Upon adoption of the dog, an adoption agreement must be signed. The average adoption fee for dogs is $125, but there can be some variation depending on age and status of the dog. We have two different adoption procedures for horses, depending upon which rescue program the chosen horse is in. These procedures can be found on our website www.hopeforhorses.com.
