Alvin's Story...
This little boy, Alvin was brought into the kill shelter, when he was only five weeks old and left with his mother, who is a cairn terrier, who weighs twelve lbs. Alvin was saved by a very nice lady, who is taking care of him to they can find him, his own forever home. He is so fun to watch, as you can see by his pictures. He is a very friendly little boy, who at around 2 months old, weighs only 5 lbs, he is just as cute as he can be. He will make a great little family dog, one that you will surely love the first time you see him. He is too young to be neutered, but when he is 6 months old, and you have him fixed, you will get a 50.00 rebate. (POM-GERRI)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alvin, a Staunton Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
