Juneau's Story...
I know my pictures not so good but don’t let that ruin your first impression. I am a beautiful little lady, you can’t blame me for being a little camera shy. So I am not an egotistical, conceded girl . I am a sweet, gentle, friendly Aussie mix named Juneau. I would love to find a home of my own, one where I can be loved and spoiled. I family with kids will be fine, as long as they are gentle and full of love. I do well with other dogs and cats too. I wish that there was more I could tell you about myself but I am just not one to brag. So why don’t you come in and meet me in person, Ill be waiting.3 years old-45lbs (ok I am probably more than that, I am pretty overweight right now).
My adoption fee is $160 and includes: current shots, spay rebate, 1 month pet health insurance, 5 week training class, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Juneau, a Portland Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
