I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Hey, I'm Coco, a beautiful chocolate brown Lab/Cattle Dog mix. I'm about 1 year old. I was wandering in a neighborhood in east Dallas when some nasty men starting hitting me with a rake..! I was just hungry and looking for someone nice who would give me some food and cool water, and maybe a pat. An AAT lady ran to my rescue and shouted at the men...they told her they thought I was a pit bull and was going to attack them! Well, even in doggie language, I have to say 'duh'...they obviously don't know how wondreful pitties are, and they can't tell a lab from a pittie? Wow....I was sure in the wrong place with them! But the wrong place at the wrong time turned into the right place, cause now I live in an AAT home until I get my forever home.
I play with all my foster siblings, boys and girls, and the human boy, and I get along with everyone! I am so glad to be safe and cool and not hungry or thirsty anymore. My foster mom says I have a great personality and that I am a lover and a cuddler and a smart and sweet girl..I think all those things are pretty good, huh?? Anyway, if you think a Coco-pop girl is in your future, please fill out an application and ask for ME!!

Rescue Group Info...
Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.
All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: dogs-$175, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
Animal Allies of Texas serves all cities and towns within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex (North Texas area). We restrict adoptions to these areas so that we can do home visits to ensure the best placement for all our animals.
