Cricket's Story...
Meet Cricket! This tiny little girl is so bouncey and totally precious! She and her sisters were rescued together - Cricket is current on vaccines and will be spayed once she is older. Already well on her way to being housebroken, Cricket has not yet had any accidents, and does very well pottying outside only! She is wonderful with children and other dogs, very affectionate, and eager to please. If you would like to adopt Cricket, please email us at forrescueAL@gmail.com to request an application!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cricket, a Huntsville Dachshund/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Labrador Retriever for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Dachshund/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Dachshund/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
