My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gracie is a sweetheart with an adorable face. She is a young girl approximately 10 mos - a year old who is affectionate, playful and very social. She is a medium sized dog weighing just over 40 lbs. She loves people of all ages and is a really nice dog that would make a great family pet.

She really is a lovely girl with a fantastic temperament. She is fun to be with, enjoys the company of people regardless of whether she knows them or met them 5 minutes ago. She is playful, affectionate and a real "people dog". It is hard to believe that this young girl was originally found in a dumpster. She was in pretty bad shape and her hair is not completely grown back in, but she has come into her own and shows the true testament to a dog being man's best friend.

Gracie is now house and crate trained and can be left on her own for a normal working day without issues. She is currently crated at night in her foster home and although she whines a bit when she is first left, she goes into the crate easily and settles in moments. She would probably be great if you would let her sleep in your room. When you come home, she is happy to see you and greets you with a wagging tail and a big smile.

Although she loves being with people, she has no problem entertaining herself and loves to play with her toys. She is well behaved in the home and quiet, barking only when there is reason. If you are up for a game of fetch she is totally up for that and for the most part does retrieve quite well. She is light enough that she could be taught to catch frisbee's I'm sure. She is very intelligent and takes her cues from her people. She would be an excellent candidate for obedience classes and would make anyone a proud owner.

Everyone she meets instantly falls for that cute face and winning personality. She is a very social and friendly dog. She is fine with children of all ages and even in large groups of teenagers she welcomes any affection she gets. Gracie is great with other dogs and is fine with dog savvy cats.
