Facts about Miles

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) Mix
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Miles is about 5 years old and 100 lbs full of energy! From what we have been told he was hit by a car when he was a pup and was never treated for his injuries which lead him to have lower back nerve damage. He may have a disability but that doesn't stop him at all. He is a very fast runner you wouldn't know anything was even wrong with except for his limp. He gets along great with other dogs. He loves kids! Not a fan of cats he wants to chance them. He would make a great outside dog in a fenced in area, due to his nerve damage he can't hold his BM and urine. Miles is a great dog all he wants is just for him to give him attention and his food / If you are interested in Miles or would like more information please email miles@sparkyrescue.com or fill out a pre application www.sparkyrescue.com/adopting.

About Saving Paws Animal Rescue of KY

About Our Rescue Group...

SparKy is a local, non rofit, no-kill, animal rescue. It takes a unique approach to animal rescue through the utilization of "foster homes" to house the animals. These foster homes provide the animals with a loving environment in which their needs are fully met. They also allow the foster parents to assess the temperament of the animals, as well as their individual needs, thus ensuring that the best permanent home possible is found.
Sparky is a true "No-Kill" rescue! Members of SparKy strongly believe in saving lives, and they will go to great lengths to protect animals. No-Kill rescues will ONLY euthanize an animal if it is recommended by a veterinarian due to illness beyond providing the animal a good quality of life, or due to a severe behavioral issue, such as extreme aggressiveness, that places humans and other animals at risk. SparKy will do everything in its power to save the life of an animal!
Members of SparKy have made it a mission, to join in with rescue groups and shelters across America, by focusing on our local community to reduce the number of animals killed each year. SparKy's goals are to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering pets, to educate the public about responsible pet ownership, and to rescue and re-home homeless adoptable pets.

Our Adoption Process...

All animals cared for by SparKy receive a thorough vet exam, vaccinations, heartworm testing and treatment if needed for dogs, FIV/FeLeuk testing for cats, parasite control, as well as treatment for any illness that they might have. They will also be spayed or neutered, prior to going to their new home. Anyone adopting a pet from SparKy will be required to sign an adoption contract, as well as pay an adoption fee. The adoption fees are as follows:
• Kitten (up to 1 year old) $75.00
• Adult Cat (1 year & up) $50.00
• Puppy (up to 1 year old) $150.00
• Adult Dog (1 year & up) $125.00
