Stray - Red's Story...
This dog was found as a stray wandering the streets in S. San Jose. She was taken into foster care and within days gave birth to a litter of 3 puppies. The puppies have since been adopted and now mom needs to find her forever home. She's small and probably only weighs around 10 lbs. She has medium length hair and she seems to be a friendly dog, though a bit timid around men. But is okay once they pet her. Her foster mom says she's never had an accident in the house, so is house trained. Also, she has been fostered in a home with 2 other dogs and a 1 yr old child, so seems to be okay with both. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stray - Red, a San Jose Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Jose, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Jose.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Jose already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Jose breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Jose paves the way for another one to be saved.
