My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Dakota, a middle-aged, gentle, sweet (and smart!) yellow Lab mix. I have been an indoor/outdoor dog, and am house trained to a dog door. I like to play in the water and run around in the yard with my brother Bear, but what I like best is hanging out with you! When I was a puppy I had hip problems, but the rescue paid for surgery and I have been all better for years now.

I have to be adopted out with my brother Bear, as he is my responsibility to take care of! We have never been apart since we were babies, as you can see from our puppy photo. We were adopted by a family with kids - we lived with a toddler, but we liked playing with the older kids best. The family decided they did not have time to spend with us and brought us back. We like the rescue people but we are both scared here. Help me get my brother out of here and back into a home - take us home with you!
