Elmer's Story...

Elmer is a 3-4 year-old Cocker Spaniel / Pomeranian mix also known as the Hybrid, “Cockeranian.” Regardless of how he appears in his photos, Elmer is a little dog. He is probably just under 15 lbs. But he is super cute, and looks like a mini-Golden Retriever. Elmer is a happy-go-lucky, playful guy who likes to get down in play bows to get the other dogs to play with him (see video also on this site). He is crate-trained, potty-trained, and walks well on the leash.

Elmer is fine with all dogs and all humans. He is a smart guy who trains easily. He is people-oriented, affectionate and sweet, and has a good temperament. Elmer is neutered, fully vaccinated, and micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elmer, a Bellflower Cocker Spaniel/Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Pomeranian for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Pomeranian breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
