Captain's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Captain's Story...
Captain came from a kill shelter in Houston from a family that did not realize shepherds could get so big by 7 months so they dumped him at the shelter.

Age: 7 mo young
Gender: male
Mix/Purebred: pure
Housetrained: assessing
Crate trained: yes
Heartworm Negative/Positive: negative
Spayed/Neutered: yes
Micro chipped: yes
Good with other dogs: yes but needs a confident handler
Good with cats: not tested yet
Good with children: puppy still, unknown but good with all people thus far

He is playful, gorgeous and confident. He has gotten along with most all dogs thus far but needs a firm leader as a confident GSD will take over if they are not led by a more confident leader. : ) He is going to be a big dog when full grown since he is already 65lb at 7 months and is thin for his age right now.

More info as we get to know him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Captain, a Dripping Springs German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Dripping Springs, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Dripping Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dripping Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dripping Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dripping Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
