9/6/11 – Carli is doing great! Her leg is healing really well. She does have a tiny little limp every once in a while, but nothing major, and she will sometimes have a moment of a little pain, but it doesn’t last and both are likely from it healing. And since she doesn’t have any more major pain, she no longer nips or bites at anyone. Instead she loves nothing more than to lay on your lap and gaze into your eyes lovingly. She loves her people with her entire heart and soul. If she could lay on your lap all day she would. She is very good about not having accidents in the house as well. She isn’t too thrilled with other pups, and therefore would do best as an only furpup. She is such a loving and happy little girl and would make a great lap ornament!
7/10/11 - Carli is doing great since her surgery this past Thursday. She has been using her leg and standing on it, which isn't always typical after hip surgery. We hope it takes away the pain she has, but we won't know for sure for a while yet.
6/30/11 Â Carli went to the dogtor today and had her teeth turned pearly white and only lost one tooth, which was fractured. The dogtor also took x-rays of her hip and found that she has had surgery in the past, but that there is still a piece of the bone that is rubbing and likely causing the pain she has been exhibiting. Next week she will go in and have more of the bone shaved off and hopefully this will get rid of the discomfort and pain she is feeling right now.
6/26/11 - Carli is a sweet little girl, but is also very afraid. She is fearful when you go to pet her and can be nippy at times. We think some of her being nippy has to do with pain in her hip or back and her fearing that you touching her will cause pain. We noticed she walks very hump backed and you can tell her back hip bothers her. We were told she would limp when she came home from the groomers. She goes in this Thursday to have her teeth cleaned and some baby teeth removed and at that time the dogtor will take x-rays to see if we can find out what is going on so we can determine what the next steps might be.
