J.J.'s Story...
JJ is a sweet, loving 1 ½ year old Border Collie/ Aussie mix. He has a tail and is on the larger side but is a gentle giant. Although he is large he is still a puppy at heart. He has never tried to jump up on any one in his foster home and he knows basic commands such as sit, lie down, etc. He is kid, cat, and people friendly and has been exposed to chickens at his foster home and calls off easily. JJ is also dog friendly and he is crate trained. JJ is a very easy going dog that likes to play, but also knows how to settle down. JJ has only been known to bark once or twice when excited and is a very quiet dog even when left alone crated or in the backyard. JJ would make a great addition to any family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

J.J., a San Pedro Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
