My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stella is a sweet girl that is anxious to please. She is responsive, intelligent and praise motivated making her easy to train. She is a young dog approximately a year old and weighs 35 lbs. She loves to be with people, is fine with cats and enjoys playing with other dogs. She will need further obedience training and would do best with someone willing to give her one on one attention.

Stella enjoys attention from people of all ages and is very friendly and outgoing when meeting them on her walks or visitors coming to the home. She is currently being fostered in a townhouse and has shown herself to be quiet and well behaved in the home barking only when there is good reason. She currently lives with two other dogs and several cats. She has shown some issues with one of the dogs but generally she is very accepting and loves to play and has no issues with the other dog in the home. She is great with the cats and has no interest in them. Outside the home Stella has been happy to meet new dogs and has been friendly and playful with everyone.

When you first wake in the morning, Stella likes to jump up on the bed and give you a "good morning cuddle". She does sleep on the bed with her foster mom who says she makes cute little noises in her sleep. Stella is house and crate trained and does like to go in her crate throughout the day to chew on a good bone. She does not use a crate at night. She is a quiet dog in the home and would be fine in an apartment as long as she was given enough exercise. Of course she would really enjoy a home with a backyard to play in.

Stella is currently learning her basic commands and has mastered "come", "wait" and is learning to "sit". She is fully house trained and as mentioned above she is crate trained and currently crated for a normal working day. She would be a good candidate for obedience classes. She rides well in the car and enjoys trips to the dog park to play with friends.

If you think Stella would be a good pet for your family, please go to our website at uglymutts.com and submit an application for consideration.
