Karma's Story...
My name is Karma and I am a petite girl (only 7 lbs) who is about a year old. For most of the winter I lived outside until my foster mom caught me and my 2 day old kittens. In the weeks I’ve been living inside I have learned so much. I really enjoy have my head and neck scratched and if you hit the right spot I’ll even roll over and have you rub my belly. I so,so,so LOVE treats. This is how I learned my name, to come when called and pretty much anything else my foster mommy wanted me to do. All you have to do is shake that bag and I’m your BFF. I have to say I really don’t like the dogs here at the foster home. I would prefer a quiet home that is very patient with me. I really enjoy affection and could be a lap cat if you can be patient and let me come to you. I will let you pick me up, but it’s not my favorite thing. I’m gentle with my nails and mouth and don’t really get the toy thing yet. I’m sure I will once I am adopted and away from the kittens who hog all the toys. Won’t you give me a forever home? Please call Jessica at (630) 728-4215 if you would like to meet me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Karma, a Montgomery Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Montgomery, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Montgomery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Montgomery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Montgomery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Montgomery paves the way for another one to be saved.
