Shealon's Story...
Shealon is a beautiful mixed breed dog who is in need of a patient loving home. When Shealon came into the shelter she was so scared she was a little growly with the staff and they wanted her to be put down. Fortunately she was rescued and gave birth to a litter of pups shortly afterward. The pups have found their forever homes and now it's mom's turn. Shealon is still nervous around new people but once she gets to know you she will never leave your side. If you are looking for a fantastic loyal dog, and you can be patient while she bonds with you, then come meet Shealon today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shealon, a Roosevelt Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Roosevelt, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Roosevelt.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roosevelt already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roosevelt breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roosevelt paves the way for another one to be saved.
