Leeloo's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Leeloo's Story...
Leeloo was rescued from a shelter in Huntsville in October 2010. She was extremely underweight, but unknown to GSRCA happened to be concealing a pregnacy. We thought we were finally getting some weight on her so she could be spayed but our vet confirmed she was preganat. On Novemeber 17, she delivered 9 healthy pups who have all gone on to find homes of their own.

Leeloo was also heartworm positive. Once her puppies no longer needed her, GSRCA had her spayed and treated for heartworms. She's completely healthy now and very ready for her own home. She's in a foster home with 2 other female dogs. We are unsure how she is with cats.

While she is not exactly traditionally marked, she is all shepherd. And she is a great size - probably about 65 pounds will be her maximum. GSRCA estimates her age at under 2 years old. She is a very loyal and loving dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leeloo, a Pike Road German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Pike Road, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Pike Road.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pike Road already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pike Road breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pike Road paves the way for another one to be saved.
