My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is J-Lo, but my foster mom calls me Mitzie-B, because I was giving birth to puppies in the back of a Mitsubishi on my way to her house! Im probably about 4 years old and theyve been some tough years, but those bad times are all over now. I was 16 pounds underweight when I was rescued and that was even with me carrying 9 full term puppies, so you can imagine just how hungry I had been. I'm now a healthy 70 pounds.
In any event, my puppies have all gone to foster homes, and I have blossomed into a beautiful dog. My coat is a very shiny apricot brindle and Im a healthy and happy. Im not only beautiful on the outside, but my foster mom says Im beautiful on the inside too! I like being part of my foster family with the 5 other dogs in the house. I never growl and we all free fed!
I'm very mellow, but I will alert you if something is going on with a bark. I rarely have an accident in the house, I never jump on people, I'm extremely well-mannered and I love people of ALL ages! Im the most perfect house guest! If you are looking for the most perfect dog to add to your family, that would definitely be me!

Whoever owned me before I was rescued, must have used me to make them money by continually breeding me, because Ive had lots of litters. Evidently they didnt feed me well either. All my nutrition went to puppies and took away from my needs, so I have very few teeth left, but I can still eat just fine. Im a good girl, deserving of a loving home, is that yours?

All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks. If you are interested in any of our pets, you must complete an online dog adoption application at www.rescueAhart.org . The application will put you in touch with this wonderful dog's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks! www.rescueAhart.org
