Mr. Miyagi's Story...
This is Mr. Miyagi, who may look like an old man, but is actually a young dog with a little grey goatee! Sadly, Mr. Miyagi was found abandoned in a rental unit when his owner moved out & left him behind. Thank goodness the landlord was a dedicated, caring person who quickly discovered Mr. Miyagi and asked us for help. Mr. Miyagi is a real charmer with a happy-go-lucky personality who seems to take everything in life in stride. He gets along quite well with all people - old or young, big or small, male or female, so he would be well suited for just about any home environment. He is also very social with other dogs of all sizes & ages. Mr. Miyagi is working on his housebreaking and is doing quite well.

If you would like to meet this little heartbreaker, please call RJ at 403-837-7442 or send us an email to rj@poundrescue.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Miyagi, a Okotoks Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
