I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Schyler's Story...
Schyler is about 3 years old and a big sweet boy. He really enjoys attention and would sit for pets all day if he could. Although a good bit underweight right now, he still weighs 100 pounds. His coat was a matted, stinky mess so after seeing the vet he spent a day at the groomer. The bath was frightening for him, but he never argued and really enjoyed the brushing and attention. He looks (and smells) much better. He does seem to have some arthritis in his knees, possibly from an old injury. X-rays do not show any major problems that need correcting, and other than a funny gait, he gets around just fine and likes to run the yard with his playmate. He does get along well with other dogs, but it is unknown how he is with cats, which we will test soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Schyler, a Bloomington Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
