Athena is a beautiful greenwing macaw who is about 10 years old. She is currently learning her Macaw manners! Athena has never been held before she came into the rescue, but from day one I was able to stroke her beak through the cage bars. She is really a sweet bird that is going to need a new owner that has previous large bird experience and a lot patience and time to spend with her. She is coming around really well since coming into the rescue after her owner had passed away. She would love to have a home where she is given a lot of attention and outside of the cage time everyday. If you have large bird experience and have the time to spend with Athena won't you consider adopting her today?
