My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy listing for an independent rescuer. Please contact kristinnicole623@yahoo.com for more information about this boy.

This is TeddyBear. He was born May 21st of 2008 and is 3 years old. His daddy was a purebred miniature pinscher and his mother was a Chihuahua/MinPin mix. He's a very loving little dog, but is fearfull of strangers until he gets to know them. He does well with other dogs, as long as they are properly introduced (so that he isn't afraid). He's never been around cats before and the only dogs he's come in contact with are 25 lbs or smaller. He doesn't seem to do very well around noisy/jumpy little kids, but does perfectly fine around calm children. It would probably be best for Teddy to go to a family without very young children. When meeting anybody new (both human or animal), he'll usually bark/growl for a few minutes (while usually trying to hide under a sofa or table), until he realizes that they're not going to hurt him. TeddyBear is fully potty-trained, but he's not fixed and has occassionally marked inside the house. He rarely marks inside the house, but he might do a little marking in the beginning if he's in a new household. Teddy also loves to run and play. He has done some agility training with us and does very well with it. He seems to really love the excitement of doing tricks to please his owners.
There is one thing that new owners would need to know. Teddy does not do well in a crate. He begins panicing quite a bit the moment he's put inside of one. He does fine outside of a crate while everyone is a work though. As long as the household has been properly "dog-proofed" and things aren't left down within his reach, he can be trusted outside of a crate during the day.
He's fully up-to-date on all of his vaccinations and rabies. And he'll be adopted out with all his things (toys, treats, leash, collar, etc).

Teddybear is a half brother to Pippin and they are hoping to stay together

Birthdate: 5/21/2008
