Trotter's Story...
How could anyone turn away from that adorable little face!!? Trotter is a Cairn Terrier who was rescued from a breeder auction. He has a great personality. Trotter was born on 5/19/99 and weighs in at 19.6 lbs. He needs a secured fenced in outdoor play area to run off his energy, as do most Cairns. Trotter has been Heartworm tested and was negative. He is getting along great with his foster brothers and sisters. To date, his foster mom is not certain of his housetraining.

If you are looking for a great new family member, please contact my foster mom, Jacque, at hahsfostermom@earthlink.net. Revised 12/16/06

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trotter, a Overland Park Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
