Archie's Story...
Archie is a German Shorthaired Pointer mix, with a little stub tail. He looks like he been recently attacked by another dog, and has some pretty bad wounds, which we are currently treating. He is about 4-5 months old, and is thin at about 35 pounds or so. He is sweet, easily handled, tolerant, gentle and walks timidly on a leash. A real sweet little guy who needs some love and care. Adoption doantion is 'at cost' for standard vetting. Questions email TammyFCHS@aol.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Archie, a Metamora German Shorthaired Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Metamora, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy from a breeder in Metamora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Metamora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Metamora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Metamora paves the way for another one to be saved.
