Jarmila's Story...
Jarmila
Female Maine Coon Mix, born ~June 2006

Jarmila is a sweet, young Maine Coon mix. All of her siblings ended up w/ longer fur and more tufting, so they got adopted first. So, here she sits waiting for her very own forever home. She is a lovely girl with very pretty markings. As she develops, we are seeing more tufting, and feathering of her ears, and her coat may even come in a bit longer. Heidi would just like to say: "Like the Ugly Duckling, some of us just take longer to show our beauty that others. My tail is already starting to fluff up for the winter, and I'm going to have a lovey mane." We think she is lovely, and will be a great companion kitty. She is used to other cats and gets along with gentle dogs.

Contact Ellen at (707) 592-8770 or Ellen@PersiansPlus.org if you have questions, or send an Adoption Application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jarmila, a Davis Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Davis, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
