Jack's Story...
What an experience this super docile angel went through! !!The cops shot him with a tranquilizer dart just for being in the street. Already betrayed at least once before by man, now the police were shooting at him for no reason....just because society wants street dogs dead. One of our members interceded and we went and picked him up from animal control before they would authanize him. Were we glad we did? Jack was an absolute doll! He gets along with all dogs and cats, gives you a look which can sink your heart and make you run right over to him and squeeze him to let him know that not every human is bad, though it probably seemed like that to this baby. Only a couple years old, we will adopt him only to a lifetime home who deserves his loyalty and affection. Call us at 718-544-PETS to make an appointment to meet this cutie.

Also, feel free to check out our main website at www.CompanionAnimalNetworkTV.org, where you can watch live webcams of many of the above dogs 24 hrs a day.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Forest Hills Greyhound/Foxhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound/Foxhound for sale in Forest Hills, or seeking a Greyhound/Foxhound dog from a breeder in Forest Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forest Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forest Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound/Foxhound breeders who help with Greyhound/Foxhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forest Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
