Sophie's Story...
Sophie is 2-1/2 yrs.old, and spayed. She is a wonderful loving companion. She would do well in a quiet adult only (or woman only) home, with someone who has experience with dogs. She is obedient, fully housetrained, is eager to please and learns quickly, prefers gentle handling and loves to be petted. She does well with most other dogs. She is not food or toy aggressive and likes to play with soft toys (not balls). She does best with regular exercise -- at least one walk daily, and have a fenced yard where she can run freely. Her adoption fee is $300. You can view more photos of Sophie here: http://acsrwa.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=11858655

Our Adoption Process...
Anyone wanting to adopt one of our cocker spaniels, must fill out an application (available on our website at www.acsrwa.org) Applications are reviewed by our staff; applicants that qualify are then asked for what we call a "home visit". One of our volunteers meets with each applicant and their household members at their home for a short interview. Each applicant gets an opportunity to meet with the dog to see if they like each other. Information about each applicant is then reviewed and an applicant is chosen to adopt a dog. A couple of weeks after a dog is adopted, a volunteer with check with the adopter to see how everything is going and if there are any problems, concerns, questions, etc. We are always available to help however we can, after the adoption is made.
