ADOPTION PENDING!

To meet PHOENIX, please contact Mark directly at 973-303-2946 or via email at mbopp7@gmail.com.

Think only girls deserve all the good looks? No way! My name is Phoenix. I'm handsome, charming, friendly and ready to come home with you! I am about 4 years old and I resemble an Australian Shepherd and Collie mix with maybe a little Golden Retriever thrown in. For all of that, I'm a pretty mellow fellow and can spend time in a kennel or crate with no fuss but I do like a little run time or play time in the yard. I like going to the dog park and get along well with dogs of all shapes and sizes and I really enjoy getting head scratches and love from humans of all ages. No accidents here, since I have good manners and am house trained.

You can meet me at an adoption event at the PetSmart at Ward Parkway Shopping Center on Saturdays from noon - 3:00 pm. If you don't see me showing off how I can sit and shake paws, you'll see me waiting ever-so-patiently to meet the right family to call my own. If that's you, either contact my foster so we can meet today or stop by this next Saturday. See you soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoenix, a Overland Park Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
