My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gloria will be in Oakland's Jack London Square for the East Bay SPCA's Adoptathon on Sunday, July 17th from 11AM - 3PM. She really wants her forever home by August 5th - her first birthday!

Eleven month old Gloria belonged to an abusive and teasing owner. Fortunately, the young man's girlfriend ordered him to give her the dog for re-homing and Gloria then made her way into rescue.

Gloria is a friendly, sweet dog but her past life has left her a bit distrustful, especially of men. She gets over this quickly once she realizes nothing bad is going to be done to her. We were told she loves kids but we have not been able to test this ourselves.

Gloria really enjoys romping and wrestling with the other doxies in her foster home. She would love a home with a young playful canine brother. (She may be a baby but she will challenge the older female dogs so a male buddy would be best)

We have had Gloria spayed and vaccinated. She is doing great on her housebreaking and crate training.

Her tax deductible adoption fee is $300. Adoption application required (available on our rescue website www.scdr.org

Gloria really wants to celebrate her August first birthday in a loving, permanent home!
