Monte is handsome and friendly. He is a beautiy at 13.5 pounds. We believe he is about 3 years old.
His finder fell in love with him and went door to door searching for a home with no luck and there is no microchip or collar. His finder lives outside Arizona and has other cats, so had to leave Monte behind. He accepted a harness, but we haven't had time to train him for leash.
This cat seems typical of an orange male ... laid back, friendly and looking for love. He is very busy in my house and very sweet. He was introduced to a family with young children one morning and was very responsive. He does not seem to care about the other cats and kittens in the rescue house as long as he gets at least his share of the food. (He sometimes shares same plate!) He loves to play with grocery bags and lets kittens snuggle up to him.
This is a great companion for an individual or family ... but he snores! The vet finds nothing wrong with him, but he seems to have something in his breathing system that vibrates when he sleeps.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Monte, a Scottsdale Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
