Deckster's Info...

I am a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Deckster's Story...
Deckster was found under a porch deck at 2 weeks of age flea infested and sick. In fact one of his eyes had been attacked by the fleas and Deckster could no longer use it - his other eye was not much better. After being rescued and cared for in foster care, Deckster was supposed to have his unusable eye removed, but the doctor thought because it had healed so nicely, it would be able to stay. Deckster can see but not great. That does not stop him - he L O V E S to play, play and play! Very energetic. It would be great if Deckster could be adopted with one of his buddies that he has been fostered with because of his disability and the uncertainty of going into a new home. He loves Bootz, Goldie and Tigerrrr. Please contact either denisesinico@hotmail.com or suellend@mac.com for an application and more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Deckster, a Westfield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Westfield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Westfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
