Here's what the humans have to say about me:
As HAHS has several different locations, please contact Bobbi at bobbislagle@sbcglobal.net.
KoKo is a gorgeous 4 year old chocolate long hair Dachshund who, despite a very rough start in her young life, loves to give kisses and warms up fairly easily when not threatened. Poor little KoKo started life in a puppy mill and when rescued, landed in an abusive home. One of these places resulted in the loss of most of her tail (doesn't stop her from wagging that stump fiercely when she's happy, though). For the last year, she did have a loving home in a blended family with six kids but was surrendered due to her fear of men.
Because of her background, KoKo is very fearful of loud sounds and loud people and hides at the slightest noise. She did okay with the fireworks over the 4th of July but shakes and shivers during a thunderstorm. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt this beautiful girl will need to be very patient with her as she adjusts. Weighing in at only 9½ lbs (and could stand to lose a pound), KoKo is okay around kids and other dogs but prefers a forever home without them. She wants your undivided love and attention in a very quiet home environment!
