My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rescuing Sadie from the shelter she was in was extremely difficult. As her time was almost up, we called about pulling her and we were told that she was so vicious that they did not recommend she be rescued. When we persisted, the shelter tried insisting a doxie experienced person had to first come and assess her. (She was far from any of our foster homes)

We persevered hoping (please, please, please) that Sadie was going to be yet another doxie that was perfectly friendly outside of the shelter environment. We weren't quite right - Sadie is not just friendly -she is excessively friendly.

Three year old Sadie is such a nice dog that she has had neighborhood children arguing over who got to take her for a play date. She has another family who can't have a dog of their own, begging to take her for some dogsitting. Sadie actually has to have her weekends scheduled she is so popular.

Sadie has a wonky rear leg. We took her to the vet and he told us that since the injury was to the hock, we either had to live with it or the surgery would require a specialist and about $4,000. He recommended that since it didn't seem to cause her any problems, to leave it as is. The only thing it does is eliminate marathon runner as one of her career choices.

Sadie adores wrapping up in a blanket with just her face peeking out. She also enjoys checking out the yard and any squirrels that may be nearby. She is good with other dogs (actually she is a little intimidated by them until she gets to know them).

Sadie is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations. She weighs 11.2 lbs
