My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pancho and Lefty may have the names of desperadoes, but they are really just a couple of easygoing guys who don’t aim to cause any trouble for anyone. They were pretty wild and crazy as young fellas but now they are mellow and very content to hang out with each other and with their people. They like their toys, and need a little play time every day. After that, a sunny spot on the rug, a perch in front of the window, or a lap in front of the TV, and their day is complete.

We first rescued Pancho and Lefty as kittens. They were adopted and returned to us a few months later when their adopter moved out of state and chose not to take them along. A short time later they were adopted again. After six years this adopter called us to report that she too was moving out of state and again Pancho and Lefty were going to be left behind. We want their next home to be their last home—these boys are sweet, loving, well-behaved cats and they deserve the very best forever home we can find for them.

Pancho and Lefty have lived happily with other cats, and in their current foster home they have become acquainted with dogs and are getting along fine with them. Pancho is the more outgoing of the two, and will be the first to greet a visitor, but Lefty will be the one to sneak onto your lap at the end of the day.

Both of these boys have excellent house manners and litter habits. They are seven years old (born in 2004) and their health is excellent.

Pancho and Lefty, like all ARCF cats for adoption, have been neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

If you are interested in meeting Pancho and Lefty, please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.
