My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Julie!
Julie is a 5 year old Shih Tzu. She was rescued from a puppy mill where she was used to produce litter after litter of puppies. Julie now spends her time playing with toys and pretty much doing as she pleases. She used to have to wear a t-shirt but since her hair has grown back in she gets too hot to wear them. Julie improves every day. There is such a big difference in her now from when she first came here. She would run from us and hide. Now she wags her tail and will even come up to be petted. We started sitting on the floor and letting her run away. She would peek back in the room when she realized no one was trying to catch her. We also started having lots of treats in our hands and she had to come to us to get a treat. Julie loves to go for car rides. She is partially housebroken. She no longer wears a diaper at nite and I have not found a wet spot on the floor. We put out papers during the day and she will use those. I think that as long as someone makes sure she gets out regularly she will be fine. She will come when her name is called - as long as she knows there is a cookie or a pet for coming. She does not like children so I would suggest a home with no kids
