Watson's Story...
Watson is a 2-year-old bloodhound mix who absolutely adores people. He likes to rock in the rocking chair with his foster mom and play with his brother Sherlock. He is friendly with other dogs and respects the ‘queen of the house’ – his foster mom’s American Staffordshire. And who can resist that face? Watson is 61 lbs. He came into rescue with his buddy Sherlock. They aren’t a bonded pair so they can be adopted separately or together. His adoption fee is $50 since he’s a mix. He’s being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Watson, a Carrollton Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
