Fiona's Story...
Fiona is a beautiful domestic shorthair diliute calico. She was rescued by her foster home and nursed back to health. When she showed up at the door she was less than4 pounds and days if not hours from death. The family wanted so much to keep her and even took care of having her fully vetted. However she has shown that she does not get along with fellow felines (she much prefers her humans!). She loves to sit in the windows and watch the birds and even chips back at them. She has a tremendous personality and loves people including children. Fiona is very friendly, outgoing and gentle with people and if comfortable enough will certainly be a lap pal.

This pet comes with a 30-day gift of Sheltercare pet insurance, the number one brand of pet insurance for adopted pets. Over 3 million adopted pets have already been insured!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Keller Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Keller, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Keller.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Keller already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Keller breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Keller paves the way for another one to be saved.
