Facts about Jamie

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 11531526
  • Hair: Short
Jamie is a sleek, slender black cat with gorgeous gold eyes. She is very friendly with cats and dogs! She loves cat toys, especially her green pompom atop a flexible stalk fixed to a black base -- which she carries (drags, really) around the apartment, despite the fact that it's almost half as big as she is. Once she has put it down, she wants it to stay. If someone tries to move it, Jamie promptly corrects the misstep. Jamie is a very sweet cat, without an aggressive bone in her body.

Although she loves other cats and is super friendly, Jamie, at this present time, prefers to not be petted on her back or picked up. Jamie knows her name and comes when called. She gathers in her foster mommy's room with the other cats for feeding and eats from the plate she is given. She sniffs her FM's hand and occasionally puts her paw gently on her arm. She also eats treats out of her human's hand. Jamie loves to sleep on the bed with the pets in the house and her foster mom. Jamie was born around 5/13/10.

About Anjellicle Cats Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Anjellicle Cats Rescue is a no-kill, all-volunteer,
not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are a member
of the Mayor's Alliance and a New Hope Partner with
the New York Animal Care & Control (ACC). For over ten years, this Hell's Kitchen shelter has been a lifeline
for abandoned, stray, and neglected cats and kittens.
In addition, we work closely with the ACC to pull out
those who are in danger of being euthanized due to
overcrowding. Each one is welcomed with kindness and medical attention, with the goal of placement into a permanent, loving home.

Well-known within the Broadway community, we have been featured on Fox 5 Morning Show, New York 1 Television and in Time Out magazine. We always enjoy meeting new volunteers and people who share our mission -- to compassionately rescue, care for and place New York City's homeless cats and kittens.

Come in today to see our "cat room" and maybe you'll
find a new friend -- one of our truly "Anjellicle

Come Meet Our Pets...

If you've found the cat of your dreams and wish to begin the adoption process, you only need to call or email Anjellicle Cats Rescue and arrange to meet a representative at Spoiled Brats, 340 W. 49th St.. Adoptions are done by appointment although there is usually someone on site every evening from 6 - 8pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Once you've filled out an application, someone will go through an adoption package with you with updated information on cat care. We require a donation of $125 for one cat or $225 for two. The kitten or cat will then be personally delivered to their new home.

All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated with FVRCP (3 in 1) and spayed or neutered. We believe it is much kinder to adopt kittens with another kitten or cat unless there is already a cat in their new household.
