My name is Felicity. For two years I lived on the streets in Bedford-Sty, one of the toughest neighborhoods in New York City. I have had 2 litters in my 2 years, and my third one was on the way when my foster mommy rescued me from an overgrown lot she was renovating to become a neighborhood garden. I am safe from the streets now, and no longer have to live a hard life in all weather, giving birth and digging chicken bones from people's trash. I am not a sad, forlorn street cat anymore, but a pretty, plump lady-like kitty who has discovered the world of down-comforters, couch cushions, regular meals and treats.I have deep, soulful eyes, chubby cheeks, short fat legs and a tail as big around as a sausage. My left ear is not bent from attacks or fights, it is a natural defect from birth, with a curious fuzzy, white divot at the tip. My brother shared the same identical divot. I am shy and polite, but when relaxed, I love to have the back of my neck scratched, and get stroked from my head to my thick sausage-tail. I have even learned to play with little wads of paper. When I find my permanent home, I will learn to understand that petting and playing is wonderful, and not to be so skittish anymore. I just need a safe, warm place to settle in and get comfortable with kind people who will love me.
