My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sonia was rescued from the AC&C more than a year ago and was quickly shown love and affection by the staff at Anjellicle Cats Rescue. She was born 12/21/03. Following a brief stint in a foster home, Sonia spent months on end at one of Anjellicle's locations waiting for a loving home. In March 2012, Sonia's prayers were answered and she moved into a foster home where she will live until September. We recently caught up with Sonia and chatted to her about life, love and her favorite things...

How has life changed since your rescue from the AC&C?

I was extremely unhappy to be abandoned after so many years as a loyal companion. I will always be indebted to Anjellicle Cats for saving my life and giving me a second chance. I was upset in my cage, but since moving into a foster home I have learned to open up and once again trust a family. Now I'm happier than ever! The next step is finding my furever family. I know they are out there, and now I'm waiting patiently for them to find me.

Do you get along well with other cats?

While I have fond memories of my former Anjellicle roommates, I prefer to be the only cat, that way I get all of the attention, pats and cuddles.

Can you tell us about a typical day in your life?

I'm just so busy at the moment, but my day usually goes like this... Wake up, wake up my foster mama, breakfast, nap, sit at the window sill and watch the outside world, nap, playtime, nap, dinner, nap, more playtime, then bedtime. I somehow find time in that schedule to use my scratching post, get pats and cuddles and do interviews. I'm telling you, it's tiring!

What is your favorite toy?

Well, my foster mama thought that buying cat toys would be a good idea, but my number one favorite would have to be the iPhone charger. That thing is great. Otherwise, a nice hairband will do the trick and I recently discovered the joys of dragging an umbrella across the floor.

Favorite place to rest?

While I'm happy to sleep in my bed, I'm even happier when sleeping on a laptop keyboard.

What profession would you be in, if you were human?

Probably a food critic, I absolutely love eating!

What about love? Anyone special in your life?

I adore my foster mother and will be so sad to say goodbye one day - I know she feels the same way - but I'm still looking for that one love in my life that will give me a home and family to call my own furever! I'm always open to meeting potential suitors, so call me!
