Webbie's Story...
I've had quite a life. I was rescued from a local shelter where I was shaved and used to test machines. It wasn't much fun so I'm very glad I'm with Texas CARES now. I'm also missing a few teeth so I like to eat my wet food in a mushy paste. It means so much to me that my fosters and new friends take the time to make it special for me. It's very nice to feel loved like that! I'm a little wary of other kitties and I'm not sure how I'd do around dogs or small children. I love petting and head and chin scratches. I'm still very scared and shy so I'll need a bit of patience while I get used to things in a new environment. But with all my quirks, I know that someone is out there just for me and I can't wait to meet them! Is it you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Webbie, a Dallas Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
