Chloe's Story...
When the kind people at Texas CARES found me, I wasn't in all that great of shape. My hair was all matted and my front paws hurt from being declawed. But my foster family has taken such good care of me that I'm a very happy kitty despite my rough start! I LOVE to be brushed! In fact, if you have a brush, I'll be your best friend. As a little lady who cares about her appearance, I never want to deal with matted hair again! You can't tell from the picture, but I have the cutest little stubby tail. I'm new to the shelter so I'm a little scared right now, but pay me a visit and I'll show you how sweet I am. I'll never turn down loving or a good brushing!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Dallas Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
